General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) is a short range digital communications specification developed by Hewlett Packard for use with automated test devices in the 1960s. The bus has developed and now has been standardised as IEEE-488.1 (hardware) and IEEE-488.2 (protocol). The Measurement Computing range has a device for PCI bus and USB. Call Firetail DAQ for details.
