Overview

The USB-1024LS from Firetail DAQ provides 24 bits of logic-level digital I/O divided into two 8-bit ports and two 4-bit ports. The USB-1024LS uses a standard 82C55 PIA chip and offers ±2.5 mA of output drive current. This output current is ideal to directly drive external logic signals, or interfaces with built-in buffers. The USB-1024LS is large enough to make connecting field wiring easy, yet small enough to fit on even the most crowded bench. Magnetic and Velcro mounting options along with an inch attachment hole make mounting easy, even in unconventional installations. The attachment hole can also be used by a cable lock or padlock in applications where unit security must be protected.
